The Adrienne Arsht Center theater, designed by the famous architect Cesar Pelli, is located in the heart of the city of Miami and is a non-profit organization. It is characterized by being one of the main performing arts institutions worldwide. Opened in 2006, the Arsht Center has since become a major driving force in the performing arts, presenting innovative programs reflecting the diversity of South Florida and serving as a multibillion-dollar attraction for the city's development.
At the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami-Dade County, around 400 state-of-the-art performances are presented throughout the year. Great legends as well as local artists have shone on this stage. Several exclusive series are presented at this theater, such as the largest jazz series in South Florida, a major annual flamenco festival and a robust program of new theater plays, as well as free community programs and art docent programs involving around 30,000 children every year.
In its new role as Miami's main plaza, the Arsht Center is also home to the signature BRAVA by Brad Kilgore restaurant, the Café at Books & Books located in the historic Carnival Tower.
